The Somali Language is an ancient Cushitic language spoken in Somalia, Djibouti, the Ogadeen region in Ethiopia and the NFD Somali region of Kenya. The older Osmaniyan alphabet would later be changed into Latin alphabet which is the modern day system in place.
THE SOMALI LATIN ALPHABET
 It consists of 21 letters: ( B, T, J, X, KH, D, R, S, SH, DH, C, G, F, Q, K, L, M, N, W, H, Y )
Also, it has short vowels (A, E, I, O, U,) and long vowels (AA, EE, II, OO, UU)
The consonants (C, DH, KH, Q , X) have totally different sounds from the classic Latin but have similar Arabic sound. Therefore it is not a direct interpretation of the Latin alphabet, as is common in its use.
